Welcome to the wiki for the Blog Action Day collaboration day in Austin.  Bloggers all across Austin are working together, saying YES to the question Will You Raise Your Voice to Poverty in Austin ?

Global issues like poverty are extremely complex. There is no simple, clear answer. By asking thousands of different people to give their viewpoints and opinions, Blog Action Day creates an extraordinary lens through which to view these issues. 

We invite you to share on this wiki your own response - how can you can help change the face of poverty in Austin ?  Do you have gifts or skills that can help make an impact with people living in poverty ?  What can you do, working individually or with others, to help make that impact real & tangible ?

Because Poverty can feel a little daunting, we’ve prepared a series of resources to help you get started with tackling this issue. Visit the Resources pages for help.

Instructions: 

Editing most wiki pages is easy. Simply click on the "edit this page" tab at the top of a page (or on a section-edit link). This will bring you to a new page with a text box containing the editable text of the original page.  To see how the page looks with your edits, press the "Show preview" button. To see the differences between the page with your edits and the previous version of the page, press the "Show changes" button.

If you're satisfied with what you see, be bold and press the "Save page" button. Your changes will immediately be visible to all Wiki users.

You can also click on the "Discussion" tab to see the corresponding talk page, which contains comments about the page from other Wikipedia users. Click on the "new section" tab to start a new section, or edit the page in the same way as an article page.
